The experience that I have is not being paid, but as a Community volunteer. I am currently the sitting President of the Nickerson Gardens Resident Management Corporation. I have been dealing with the RMC off and on since 1999, first as a paid Secretary, then as a RMC board member. I have also been a volunteer of the Kids Watch LA and a Safety Volunteer, insuring that  the kids in the community got to and from school in a safe manner. I also have been on committees for the Los Angeles Urban League and have gotten some of my office training from the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Unified School District. I have also been and have taken the Community Police Academy classes and have been certified to act in the case of an emergency by the American Red Cross.
