San Francisco Neighborhood by Neighborhood – 49 Square Miles of History:  San Francisco, California is in the midst of a renaissance as it revitalizes its existing low income housing developments and creates exciting new affordable housing opportunities throughout all of its 88 neighborhoods. This 3-hour tour will provide attendees a glimpse of the historic accomplishments and ongoing efforts to serve the needs of families, seniors, veterans and the disabled in the City by the Bay. Some highlights include the RAD Phase 1 newly rehabilitated 1880 Pine Street apartment building in tony lower Pacific Heights; the newly constructed Dr. Davis Center, a palatial 117 unit senior living campus that has dazzling amenities; the HOPE SF’s Alice Griffith, which is midway through major redevelopment;  the RAD phase 1 Holly Courts, the oldest public housing site west of the Mississippi; and North Beach Place, an original HOPE 6 project and one of the most iconic and successful examples of a HOPE 6 property in the nation.  In addition, throughout the tour, guides will point out neighborhoods with dramatic housing changes as well as properties of interest including the South of Market Corridor (SOMA.)
**Please note this tour will be held at the same time as the Commissioners’ Seminars.  If you plan to attend either seminar, please do not sign-up for the tour.
