redevelopment agencies, affiliates, and complimentary memberships)
NAHRO members own or administer:
- 1,097,822 units of public housing (87% of total)
- 1,775,350 units of tenant-based Section 8 housing (81% of total)
- 383,000 units of other assisted housing
In all, NAHRO's members provide housing for more than 7.5 million
low-income people.
Our members bring more than $3 billion in Community Development Block Grant and HOME funding to their communities and serve more than 189 million individuals.
