Steps to Participating in the NAHRO Access Alliance
If you are a NAHRO housing or community development agency member and you want to participate in the NAHRO Access Alliance, follow these simple steps:
- Review the products and services available
from the NAHRO Access Alliance.
- Download and complete the Participant
Profile and e-mail it as an attachment to nahroaccessalliance@nahro.org.
(The NAHRO Access Alliance Resource Support Team will review your application
and make recommendations on how the Alliance can assist your agency.)

After the NAHRO Access Alliance Resource Support Team has evaluated your Participant Profile and made recommendations, your agency may fall into one of the following categories:
Agencies Needing Capacity Building
Many agencies have substantial training and capacity-building needs. The
NAHRO Access Alliance can offer these agencies specialized training programs
tailored to their needs. Training may include basic development skills/process
orientation, project evaluation, and financing opportunities and requirements.
The training will be applicable to acquisition, redevelopment and preservation,
as well as new construction. These training programs are offered on a
fee-for-service basis to participants. Once capacity has been built, agencies
are encouraged to continue with a specific development undertaking.
Agencies Already Having Development Experience
A number of agencies have already developed the capacity and experience
to carry out specific acquisition or development transactions. The NAHRO
Access Alliance offers these agencies training, consultation and peer
mentoring in a transaction-specific context if needed. The Alliance goal
is to provide access to capital at competitive rates and fees. In selected
cases, NAHRO Access Alliance members may serve as fee developers or co-developers.
