Carl Greene, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Housing Authority

Greene and his staff organized summits and seminars examining the effects of continued underfunding on public housing throughout Pennsylvania, as well as in Ohio, New York and New Jersey.

The Nebraska Chapter of NAHRO

Nebraska NAHRO set a goal to establish tax exemptions for all Nebraska public housing authorities, and after a concerted education and advocacy campaign achieved a unanimous vote in the state legislature. Housing authorities saved $7.3 million in the first year.

Bonnie Osborn, Executive Director of the Summit Combined Housing Authority

Osborn campaigned for an affordable housing fund, which was passed and created $3.4 million for affordable housing in its first year.
