NAHRO-NeighborWorks Certified Community Revitalization and Development Professional (CCRDP)

Overview:

By achieving the NAHRO-NeighborWorks America Certified Community Revitalization & Development designation, an individual has demonstrated that he/she understands a wide range of topics related to community development and affordable housing.  This includes essential real estate development and financing concepts as well as knowledge in a broad range of community economic analysis and collaboration skills.  Professionals who work in the Community Revitalization and Development (CR&D) field must be able to effectively analyze and respond to the economic challenges facing their communities or clients. 

The CCRDP program focuses on providing the candidate the opportunity to gain knowledge in the core areas of community economic analysis and real estate development while allowing a high level of flexibility in elective course selection.  This flexibility gives the candidate the ability to tailor their education to the areas which will be the most productive for their community/clients and their individual career goals.  To complement the core technical knowledge in this field the CCRDP program also includes instruction on high performance management which provides not only key knowledge, but the opportunity for participants to experiment and experience critical tools and techniques that can assist them to more effectively manage, supervise, and motivate staff.  The certification requires anethics course targeted to high level professionals.
