Consequences for
American Communities:
A national survey on the impact of recent reductions
in Community Development Block Grant Funding
This survey was designed by NAHRO at the request of the CDBG Coalition, a
partnership of national associations and organizations representing elected
officials, community development practitioners, and nonprofits. The purpose
of this survey is to raise awareness of the real-world impact of the recent
and dramatic decline in the CDBG program's formula allocation. Although the
survey is not a direct reaction to the President's Fiscal Year 2007 budget proposal,
the information respondents provided will assist members of the CDBG Coalition
as they work to restore CDBG formula funding for Fiscal Year 2007.
