Registration Information
How can I register for the conference?
To Register On-Site please complete the registration form.
Conference Registration Hours as follows:
Wednesday, July 27: 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, July 28: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday, July 29: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 30: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m
What are the registration fees?

What does the registration fee include?
Registration includes admission to plenary and concurrent sessions; the Welcome Reception on Wednesday; continental breakfasts on Thursday and Friday; the Evening Event on Friday; and the Closing Plenary Breakfast on Saturday.
Can I purchase guest tickets to networking events in advance?
Tickets may be purchased on-site or in advance by contacting us via the Conference Hotline at (800) 842-6225 or via e-mail at conferenceregistration@nahro.org
I didn’t get a receipt/acknowledgement?
If you have not received your acknowledgement within two weeks of submitting your registration, please contact us at conferenceregistration@nahro.org.
How can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Changes/substitutions are permitted any time and should be submitted in writing via email at conferenceregistration@nahro.org or fax at (202)289-4968 prior to July 21. After July 21, changes/substitutions must be made on-site.
My name is spelled wrong on my acknowledgement?
Please make corrections on the acknowledgement letter and fax revisions to (202) 289- 4968.
I need to submit a purchase order for my registration, can I still register?
Registration fees must be paid in advance - acceptable forms of payment include check, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
My registration requires a W9 form before I can process my purchase order, how can I get one?
Please send all W9 requests to conferenceregistration@nahro.org or contact us via the Conference Hotline via (800) 842-6225.

How can I become a presenter for the conference? When is the call for presentations?
Although closed for the 2011 Summer and National Conferences, NAHRO invites session presentation proposals from for those who reflect our audience and can share their experiences, expertise as well as provide new thinking. Information regarding the 2012 Call for Presentations will be available via the conference web page in November 2011.
How can I register for a pre/post conference professional development seminar?
Registration for pre/post conference professional development seminars is available by fax, mail and online via the registration section of the Summer Conference web page. For descriptions of seminars being held in conjunction with the Summer Conference, please click here. If you are unable to attend the Summer Conference but would like to know more about NAHRO professional development offerings, please visit the Professional Development page on the NAHRO website.
What is a plenary session?
A plenary session is a general assembly of conference participants that often includes a featured speaker. Featured speakers for the 2011 Summer Conference include Judge Greg Mathis, Civil Rights Advocate/TV Personality; and Wes Moore, Youth Advocate/Business Leader/Author. Will companies and/or service providers have an opportunity to exhibit during this conference?
No, the only exhibition that we offer is held in conjunction with the National Conference and Exhibition this fall, click here for exhibit and sponsorship information.
Hotel/Travel
How do I make hotel reservations?
Conference registration is required prior to making a reservation in the NAHRO room block. Reservations may only be secured online via the hyperlink and access code included in your conference registration confirmation. A credit card is required to reserve your room. All rooms require a $250 deposit which will be processed prior to your arrival date and credited against the balance at your confirmed hotel.
What are the hotel rates at the conference hotel?
The discounted rates for NAHRO attendees are $149.00 single or double occupancy and is available through June 30 or until the NAHRO room block is sold out.
I need to change/cancel my hotel reservation. What do I need to do?
Name changes, arrival/departure changes, and/or cancellations may be submitted via the online reservation system until June 30, 2011. Please note that deposits will be refundable for cancellations received on or before June 30. Deposits will be forfeited for cancellations made after June 30.
What is the closest airport?
The closest airport is the Louisville International Airport.
Can I use a different credit card to pay the balance at the hotel?
The credit card provided for your hotel deposit will ONLY be charged the $250 deposit with the balance for your entire stay due and payable on-site. Checks and credit cards may be used on-site to satify the balance.
If the hotel block is full will you add another hotel?
If the NAHRO room block sells out, NAHRO will provide delegates with a list of nearby hotels but cannot guarantee room rate or availability.
Does NAHRO have discounted rates for hotel rooms?
NAHRO has a limited number of hotel rooms at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. The discounted rate for registered conference attendees is $149 and is available through June 30 or until the room block is sold out. If the NAHRO room block sells out, NAHRO will provide delegates with a list of nearby hotels but cannot guarantee room rate or availability.
