International Forum 2019
Delegates from Canada, the Netherlands, South Africa, the global International Urban Development Association (INTA), and the United States, who represent the spectrum of professionals, both practitioners and academics, involved in affordable housing and community development, will delve into the various programs, policies, and tools they use in their home countries and localities while addressing the differences and commonalities across the globe.
Discussion topics will include neighborhood design, architecture, mixed-income and mixed-use projects, diversity and inclusion, health, education and employment, environmental sustainability, and synergy with the United Nations New Urban Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, the Housing Authority of the City of Austin will sponsor a study tour for the delegates to experience first-hand some of the challenges and opportunities faced by housing providers in the United States.
