Coping With PIH
Notice 2004-7 -- June 9
Agencies have received HUD's notice concerning their calculations
of Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) and Section 8 administrative
fees. Much of the funding implications will be represented in the
June payment, leaving many agencies with considerable renewal funding
shortfalls in HAP and approximately 13-25% in admin. fees.
You will learn more about HUD's pro-rata admin fees calculations
and how to deal with the Department's delayed recapture provisions
of some agencies' net income. Hear our update on HUD's FY 2004 Renewal
Formula and learn about a series of practical approaches to lease
as many authorized vouchers as possible within HUD's budget-based
renewal funding constraints.
Minimizing the loss of assisted vouchers in your community this
year and beyond is critical. The AudioShort program is designed
to help you take away a checklist and establish a plan to address
the needs of the community.
