NAHRO's Resident Leadership Institute

NAHRO is offering the following seminars as part of their Leadership Institute. Attend all three and SAVE! You'll also receive a special Leadership Institute Certificate.

  • Resident Leadership
    Learn how to create partnerships between the resident council and the housing agency so that both groups can collaborate to develop, renovate, and enhance neighborhoods. (1.4 CEUs)

  • Grant Writing and Fundraising
    Opportunities are available to those who seek them.  Learn what you must research, and how to apply, administer and monitor a grant to be successful.  Discover how to best fundraise for your community. This interactive nuts and bolts seminar captures the essence of the area of grant seeking and fundraising.  Also, hear how establishing a non-profit corporation may be in your resident council's best interest. (0.7 CEUs)

  • Advanced Resident Leadership
     This seminar is uniquely designed to help resident leaders learn how to maximize their leadership style to create strong alliances with the housing agency, other resident councils, and other stakeholders in the community.  Learn how to resolve conflict, manage the day-to-day challenges of a team, and motivate fellow residents to create better living environments and opportunities.  It is advisable that participants take NAHRO's Resident Leadership seminar prior to registering for the Advanced Resident Leadership seminar. (1.4 CEUs)
