NAHRO Monitor is a newsletter published by the National Association of
Housing & Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) on the 15th & the
end of the month, excluding December 31, & is mailed 1st class.

Remember, website only ads have to run a minimum of 10 working days after posting date and a maximum of 30 days.
Ads published in the newsletter have to run a minimum of 10 working days after publication date, or for 30 days if no deadline is provided.
For example, for the 1/15/09 issue, your deadline can be no earlier than 1/30/09.
Issues in italics precede conferences, and so have shortened production schedules and early deadlines.
Red, underlined issue denotes a belated print date due to National Conference
- Pending approval.
AD Placement Options

Advertisers with Classified or Industry ads may submit them to lgibbs@nahro.org as follows:
1. Website only (you will be charged for the posting of your ad to our website only)
OR
2. Combination Monitor /website ( if you place your ad in the newsletter, it is posted to our website also at no extra charge)
Deadline for Responses - Monitor/website combination or Website only
Ads may run if advertiser's deadline for responses are:
- For Combination Monitor/website - a minimum deadline of 10 working days after publication date.
- For Website Only Posting - a minimum deadline of 10 working days after posting date.
- 30 days, if no deadline date is given, or until the deadline date
Ad Requirements - Combination Monitor/
website & Website only
Members and non-members may place ads, see rates below. Ads refer to job listings, RFPs, RFQs, Invitation to Bid and Industry Ads. Your ad should contain the following items:
- MONITOR - Name of position (no city and state will be listed)
- WEBSITE ONLY - Name of position (city and state will be listed)
- FOR ALL ADS:
Description of position, to include salary requirements, qualifications, benefits information. The deadline date, contact person, address, phone, fax, email and/or website will be bolded.Since most ads that are published also go on our website, ads with email and website addresses are hyperlinked which is reflected in the newsletter copy also.
- Ads should be in Microsoft Word in a plain, text-only format, justified, without letterhead information.

Rates
The rate schedule below applies to BOTH combination:
(newsletter/website) AND website only ads.
If the ad is to run multiple times, this is the rate charged ad run or is posting, and is as follows:
- Agency/Affiliate/Associate members - receive the first 6 lines (approximately 50 words) free.
- Non-agency/affiliate members are charged $100 for the first 6 lines.
- An additional $15 per line will be charged to all advertisers for
- ads exceeding six lines.
To receive the member rate: either the advertiser or the "BILL TO" location MUST be a NAHRO member.

QUOTE REQUESTS:
Ads refer to job listings, RFPs, RFQs, Invitation to Bid and Industry Ads.
Include the following information on your ad:
How many times you wish the ad to run.
If you would like a combination website/newsletter or Website only listing.
Please include the billing address, email address and contact person who will receive the invoice.
You will receive an email quote that includes how your ad will appear, the estimated
calculated rate & additional Monitor information.
Please note the rates provided
are estimates - range (+/- $15.00 of actual rate) - not the final
rate. The rate applies to both website only and website/newsletter ads, see above.
You will be invoiced via email. It will contain your invoice, a link to the ad as it appeared in the newsletter or in the case of website only, a snapshot of how the ad appeared on our website. To view the link to the onsite Monitor link:

Non members - will be provided a temporary userid/password.

You will either receive
a quote by emai.lf you wish to submit your ad without a quote, you will receive
an acknowledgment that your ad was received by email.

If changes
to quoted material are needed, please resubmit them by email. You will
receive another quote with the amended material included.
Method of Payment
- On publication date, advertisers
will be mailed a copy of the Monitor along with one (1) copy of the invoice. To avoid delays in processing your payment, please place the NAHRO order number, on your payment and remit within 30 days. The order number can be found on the upper right hand side of the invoice. Please send a copy of the invoice along with your
payment to the address on the invoice. We accept: Check/Money Order, Credit Card
(Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
Discounts - PHM CERTIFICATE - NAHRO
will give a non-refundable $25 discount to all classified ads that require the
applicant to have or obtain a NAHRO PHM certificate by a specified date .
The discount is non-refundable, i.e., an ad that ordinarily would cost $15 would
be free of charge under this discount - it would not result in a $10 rebate to
the advertiser.
Blind Ads - NAHRO will add a
$20 surcharge to any ad that is run blind in the Monitor, i.e., an ad in which
the advertiser/employer is not named & for which NAHRO will act as contact
for responses, receive, compile & forward the responses to the advertiser
by mail. (example: Submit resumes and all applicable material to: (NAME
OF YOUR POSITION HERE) NAHRO, 630 Eye Street, NW , Washington , DC 20001 .)
Industry
Service Submissions and Rates - The NAHRO Monitor also accepts industry-related
service listings to include consultant listings for the newsletter and website. These ads will appear after the
classified ads under a separate heading in the newsletter and follows the classified ads on the website.
- Starting with the September 15, 2006, NAHRO Monitor, Industry ads will be published on a space available basis to NAHRO members and non-members for commercial messages.
- Each member is limited to two (2) such submissions a year that will appear approximately six months apart. As with all other classified ads, members may have a six line ad at no charge. If you want a longer ad, you will be charged the additional fee of $15 per line. If members wish to use the feature more than two times a year, they may do so at the non-member rate of $100 for the first six lines, plus $15 per additional line.
- Non-members may continue to submit ads in each issue by paying the non-member rate.
- No prepaid ads will be accepted as ads are being placed based on space availability.

Outstanding
Balances
- Any advertiser with an outstanding balance of 60+ days over due or an agent/recruitment compamy submitting ads on their behalf cannot place additional ads until the outstanding balance has been remitted.
- If an advertiser wishes to place an ad & still has
an outstanding balance, or if an ad is to be placed and payments has been remitted, yet our records still indicate a balance, the advertiser must email the payment check number, to: La Tonya Rajah-Gibbs: lgibbs@nahro.org.
