several scholarship opportunities.

NJ - NEW JERSEY NAHRO ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
1 - $4000 Four Year Scholarship ($1000 per year for four years)
- Graduating senior who resides with family in public or assisted
housing (for 12 months prior to application deadline) through any
housing program administered by the agency who is a member in good
standing of the chapter
- Must have maintained an overall 3.0 GPA for the total of his/her
high school career
- Extracurricular activities
- Community involvement
- Essay
- Letters of recommendation
- Transcript which includes SAT scores
- Continuing requirements:
- must maintain a 2.5 GPA for the first two years and and a
2.8 GPA for the third year
- must be enrolled as a full-time student in a college program

PA - EQUIBANK/PITTSBURGH HOUSING AUTHORITY SCHOLARSHIP
1 - $3500 Scholarship ($2000 Freshman year, $500 Sophomore-Junior-Senior
years). In addition, the student will be eligible for a summer internship
valued at $1500.
- Must be a HACP resident
- Demonstrate financial need
- Major in business, finance or related field
- US citizen
- 3.0 high school GPA
- Graduating senior
- Acceptance in college/university
- 3 letters from high school teachers/counselor
- 1 personal letter of recommendation
- Continuing requirements:
- 2.5 GPA
- Notification of GPA by June 30 of Freshman, Sophomore, and
Junior years

- Must be a PHA resident
- Must be in grades 6 through 10 and will likely be between the ages
of 11 and 16
- Must have a drug free record
- Exhibit good citizenship
- Exhibit good character
- Exhibit academic readiness
Moneys earned will be held without interest in the name of the recipient.
Distribution will be upon high school graduation, with proof of acceptance
into a post secondary program.
