Hill Advocacy Day Training & Tips
To maximize your productivity and effectiveness on the Hill on Tuesday, you are encouraged to attend this informative, hands-on training provided by a recognized expert in outreach, communications and messaging  who will arm you with tips and information you can use while here in Washington, and back home as you continue to be heard on the important housing and community development issues of the day.  This session will assist more seasoned advocates and empower first timers to new advocacy heights and accomplishments.

"This Just In" from Washington: NAHRO’s 2013 Legislative and Regulatory Agenda
Join NAHRO staff for an examination of the current environment in Washington, as well as a review of NAHRO’s legislative and regulatory priorities and funding recommendations for the coming year. Attendees can expect to get an early read on the latest news from Capitol Hill while learning how the industry is likely to be impacted by a national election set against the backdrop of continued economic challenges.

There is no sight in Washington, DC greater than the monuments of our nation's capital seen at night.  You won't want to miss the breathtaking views aboard our 2.5 hour tour. See our national monuments and federal buildings flooded in lights, from the illuminated dome of the U.S. Capitol to the Kennedy Center, Senate Office Buildings, Federal Triangle, Pennsylvania Avenue, The White House, Capitol Reflecting Pool, Georgetown, Marine Corps (Iwo Jima) Memorial, and the World War II Memorial. We will also make stops at the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, FDR Memorial and the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the amazing sights and memories of our wonderful tour of Washington, DC after dark.   Cost: $25
