Strategic Planning, Agency Development and Policy for Commissioners
This program provides a systematic way for commissioners to master the skills and knowledge needed for excellent leadership of housing and redevelopment authorities. This course provides an understanding of strategy, including planning, strategic initiatives, management and leadership. Participants will explore the relationship between strategy and the agency's mission, and how strategic plans fit with HUD's planning expectations. Also, this course deals with the development of agency capacity so it can achieve its goals in the context of the strategic plan. The instructor will lead a discussion on the development and implementation of policies consistent with agency objectives and goals, budget and the means by which the agency pursues its mission. (1.2 CEUs)
