Transition to NSPIRE: What to Expect with HUD Inspections
HUD has begun a complete review and revamp of the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) inspection protocols. The changes will affect Public Housing, Multifamily housing, and even the Housing Choice Voucher programs. This session will help attendees understand and start preparing for the implementation of NSPIRE (National Standards for the Physical Inspections of Real Estate). During this training, participants will learn about the new NSPIRE protocol, including standards, scoring, and administration, as well as why HUD is implementing the new protocol. NSPIRE for the Housing Choice Voucher programs will also be discussed.

How Will the New Davis Bacon Regulations Impact You?
How will the New Davis Bacon Regulations Impact you? In March 2022, the US Department of Labor proposed over 50 different changes to the Davis Bacon regulations. Comments were closed in May in 2022 and final regulations were published in August 2023. How will those changes impact the procurement of construction work for an agency? This session will cover changes in bid specifications, contract clauses and how conformances will be handled moving forward. Credits for fringe benefits and amortization of certain benefits may also change.

It is far too common to simply go from emergency to emergency, HUD changes, budget swings and lose sight of the big picture.
