Housing mobility programs are associated with positive socioeconomic and health outcomes. However, even in jurisdictions with source of income protections, landlord perceptions can negatively impact tenants’ abilities to move to opportunity areas. Housing authorities can address these challenges through tenant mobility counseling and landlord recruitment and outreach. Fresno Housing and CGI will discuss how to develop and implement a tenant mobility counseling program and the link between tenant mobility and landlord recruitment and retention.
