NAHRO BECT OATH AND AGREEMENT OF CONFIDENTIALITYNational Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) form for signing the BECT Oath and Agreement of Confidentiality.BECT OATH AND AGREEMENT OF CONFIDENTIALITY(Required)The undersigned is a member of the Board of Ethics and Credentialing Trustees (BECT) of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). The BECT has the authority and responsibility to review and maintain the NAHRO Certification Exams and also to consider and take appropriate disciplinary action concerning all complaints involving violations of the NAHRO Code of Professional Conduct. Under the NAHRO Code of Professional Conduct Rules of Procedure (“Rules”) adopted by the BECT, all information received by members of the BECT in connection with investigations or proceedings of the BECT or a subcommittee thereof must be held in strict confidence. In addition each member of the BECT shall, as a prerequisite to participating in any Certification Exam review or maintenances or any investigations or proceedings of the BECT, have executed a confidentiality oath in a form approved by the BECT. THEREFORE, the undersigned, being first duly sworn, agrees, deposes, and warrants that: •All information received by the undersigned in connection to their work and service on BECT, including but not limited to any investigation, proceeding, exam review, and/or meeting of the BECT covered by the Rules, whether such information is received orally, in writing, or by other means (“confidential information”), shall be held in strictest confidence and shall not be disclosed to any person other than (i) another member of the BECT, (ii) the NAHRO Chief Executive Officer or their designated staff, or (iii) other persons to whom such disclosure of confidential information is specifically and expressly authorized by the BECT or the Chairperson of the BECT. •Any violation of this Oath and Agreement of Confidentiality shall be considered to be a material violation of the NAHRO Code of Professional Conduct and may, in addition, constitute grounds for immediate removal from BECT membership by action of the BECT, subject to approval by the NAHRO Board of Governors. This Oath and Agreement shall be effective as of the date of execution hereof and shall remain in effect thereafter as long as the undersigned holds NAHRO membership.
