This session will explore innovative approaches to engaging underrepresented youth – especially girls of color, low-income students, and those from rural areas – in housing-related careers. Attendees will learn how to introduce middle and high school students to fields such as architecture, construction, and urban planning. The session will emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusion in shaping the future of affordable housing and urban development, focusing on how increased representation of marginalized groups can drive impactful change in the housing sector.
