The Pillar of Your Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program: The Contract of Participation

Are you looking for ways to improve the success of families in your Family Self-Sufficiency Program?

The foundation of success is through the effective execution and management of the Contract of Participation. The contract can be an effective tool in guiding the relationship between the agency, case manager/coordinator, and client.

This training will explore the Individual Training and Services Plan (ITSP) and the commitments required of both the agency and the family to holistically address family needs and successfully meet contract goals.

Creating a strong Program Coordinating Committee brings full circle the FSS program’s goal of leveraging community assets for effective service delivery and increases the availability of resources for clients’ needs upon referral. You’ll leave with tools and new ideas to improve your program and help the families you serve find success.

After completing this training, participants will be able to:

· Explore the roles and responsibilities of both the agency and participants

· Identify key areas of the Contract of Participation and leverage it for family and program success

· Effectively use case management strategies and tools to assist clients with goal setting, decision making, and in navigating the self-sufficiency process
