Empowering Residents to Co-Lead and Collaborate for Equitable, Transformative Housing

This dynamic session panel is comprised of current and former residents of affordable housing from different NAHRO regions, who have benefited from resources, mentors and opportunities while living in public housing. Panelists will share the importance of embracing resident leadership and how this provides for more equitable affordable housing. From being homeless to becoming a homeowner, learn how panelists have empowered other residents, enhanced relationships with the Housing Authority and promoted self-sufficiency. Session attendees will learn the importance of having those with lived experience at the table in decisions that affect their livelihood.
