Local Housing/Community Development Tour

The Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) will host an optional bus tour for conference attendees on Friday, October 6, 1:45pm – 4:00pm. Ticket cost is $35 and can be purchased when registering for the conference or on-site in New Orleans, on a space-available basis. The tour will depart from and return to the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

The Housing Authority of New Orleans is proud to showcase their post-Katrina housing developments. HANO tour guides will share the history of each of the properties you will be seeing and will provide information on the transformation from pre-hurricane housing to post-Katrina modernized developments. The high-impact, historical properties on the tour include: Columbia Parc, Bienville Basin, City Square 162 and, if time permits, Marrero Commons.

All properties are in the heart of New Orleans with other interesting and unique historical places to see along the way.
