Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log in on the day of the event?
The online Symposium will be hosted on a virtual conference platform, accessible via mobile app or desktop web app (from your internet browser – Chrome is strongly encouraged). Registered attendees will receive instructions on how to access the conference platform a few days prior to the event. The email address used to register for the Symposium will be required for access to the virtual conference platform.

Do I need to download or install any software to be able to attend this event?
Sessions will be conducted thru Zoom. Though not required, if you don’t already have it, we recommend that you download Zoom ahead of time on whatever device you choose to use for a better viewing experience. Also, using internet browser Chrome (for the desktop web app) is strongly encouraged for best experience.

Is a webcam required for participation?
No, most sessions will be conducted in Zoom Webinar and attendees will not be on camera. However, the virtual reception will be facilitated in Zoom meeting and will be more attendee interactive, where an attendee might want to have a functional webcam and microphone.

What if I have technical difficulty during the Sympsium?
NAHRO will provide all day dedicated attendee technical support during the Symposium. 

How can I ask questions during the Symposium sessions?
During most sessions, attendees can ask questions via the Zoom chat or q&a feature. 

Will the sessions be recorded so I can watch them again later? Yes, all sessions will be recorded. Registered attendees will have access to the virtual platform for several months post-Symposium. 

Will I be able to take away information or brochures from the event?
Yes. Presentations and handouts are available for download in the Documents feature on the platform (if provided by speakers.) 

I miss social interaction! Can I mingle with attendees and sponsors?
Once logged into the virtual platform, you will be able to see who else is registered for the conference.  If you would like to start a conversation with other attendees/sponsors, you can send them a message to connect – adding a person as a connection allows you to message with them, send them meeting requests, see their contact information, and more!
