Communities across the country have received CMS waiver approval for innovative programs to demonstrate improved health care outcomes and decreased spending when housing needs are addressed. The Arizona State Medicaid system, AHCCCS, is using this waiver to fund deposits, short-term rental assistance and housing support services. You will learn how Medicaid dollars are being leveraged with Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) through a unique partnership that expands the PHA’s access to the most vulnerable in their communities. This partnership aims to reduce the administrative burden on the PHA and seeks waiver opportunities to ensure an efficient and regulatory compliant transition.
