You’ll also learn how to implement the program and how to leverage local resources to help participants achieve the best outcomes.

Join us for an engaging discussion about the evolving landscape of PHAs in response to HUD’s recent HCV policy and technological changes. This panel won’t delve into every recent change, but rather focus on strategic adaptation. We’ll explore the development of flexible Administrative Plans, the use of technology and third-party partnerships for streamlined processes and financial management and preparing for future HUD HCV program changes. We’ll also discuss creative strategies for using administrative and HAP/UAP funds to assist families in a tight market. Throughout, we’ll touch on key HUD initiatives and their influence on our strategies.

The HCV Program has grown to be the largest rental housing program in American history but has yet to live up to its public-private partnership design. There is an art of Attracting, Recruiting, Retaining Landlords for the HCV Program. This process is for those that truly understand that this is a language barrier between public housing authorities (PHAs) and landlords. Presenters will explore innovative ways to increase landlord engagement by attracting and recruiting new landlords for the HCV Program. The presentation will also discuss engagement strategies to rekindle the fire of former landlords through rebranding initiatives.
