About the Journal of Housing & Community Development

The Journal of Housing and Community Development is the only periodical devoted exclusively to the affordable housing and community development (HCD) field. It features articles on all aspects of the industry, including legislation and advocacy, finance, international HCD initiatives, green building, maintenance and administration, as well as semi-regular columns from leaders in the field. It is published by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials

The first print issue of what was then the Journal of Housing was published in October 1944. After more than 60 years, we are proud to transition this venerable publication online.
