Finish the Week Strong with Advocacy!

NAHRO advocates – thank you for an incredible start to this year’s August Advocacy campaign. More than 225 of you met with 124 Congressional offices during our first ever August Hill Day. You also sent about 2,168 advocacy letters from our Action Alert Center to your legislators and the White House. SERC is in the lead so far with 568 letters. Keep the momentum going! Send one last letter for the week and set a reminder for next week’s topic: Expanding Access to Housing Vouchers.

Urge Congress to address housing scarcity across the nation. Rising rents, increased home prices, and lack of supply have exacerbated the affordability crisis. The HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) are proven solutions that facilitate preservation, new construction, and community development. As Congress continues discussing FY 2023 funding, tell your legislators to prioritize programs that will increase our nation’s housing supply. All families deserve access to safe and affordable housing.
