In Case You Missed It: Policy Updates and Resources
January was a busy month at NAHRO and across the country! To ensure our members didn’t miss any critical updates, we’re resharing some of the news and resources you may have missed since the holidays.
In late January, NAHRO released its 2025 Policy Priorities. They were released early in the year to help states, regions, and members craft their own legislative and regulatory agendas. We will release our full Legislative and Regulatory Agenda with FY 2026 funding recommendations in conjunction with the 2025 Washington Conference, March 10-12, 2025. This intentional two-step release is a part of our continued efforts to integrate and strengthen our Policy and Legislative Affairs work. We hope you’ll join us in D.C. as we raise our voices on behalf of affordable housing!
Furthermore, the mid-January edition of The NAHRO Monitor was packed with information, from the previous administration to our efforts engaging with the new administration. Read articles about NAHRO’s Presidential Transition efforts, new HOMTA guidance, a new RAD notice, the PHAS proposed rule, the HOME Investments Partnership Program final rule, BABA guidance, 30-Day Notice final rule and more!
We also recommend reviewing the NAHRO Blog, where you can find even more recent news, such as the withdrawal of the AFFH and Reducing Barriers of HUD-Assisted Housing proposed rules. Like we said, it’s been a busy month.
