Meet the 2025 NAHRO-LDG Scholars!
October 8, 2025 — The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) and award-winning multi-family housing developer LDG Development formally introduced this year’s NAHRO-LDG Scholar cohort at the Opening Plenary Session of NAHRO’s National Conference and Exhibition in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday, September 28.
“At LDG, we build more than affordable homes – we also help create opportunities for our youth to thrive,” said Lisa Dischinger, co-founder and chair of the LDG Foundation, which funds the scholarship. “These students are working hard to attain college degrees and build careers, and we are proud to support their dreams.”
The 2025 NAHRO-LDG Scholars are:
- Allison Lu, majoring in Biological Studies at Union College in New York;
- Marceline Sang, attending the University of Washington, Seattle; and
- Tyzhae Williams, majoring in Business Administration at The Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina.

“We deeply appreciate LDG’s generous sponsorship,” said Mark Thiele, CEO of NAHRO. “As both rents and tuition costs continue to rise nationwide, programs like this provide our young people with both a college education and valuable internship opportunities that will develop their skills and grow their professional networks. Thank you, LDG!”

Eligible students must reside in HUD-assisted affordable housing administered by NAHRO member agencies, who submit applications on their behalf. The NAHRO-LDG Scholars were chosen from the eight regional winners of the NAHRO National Merit College Scholarship.
