NAHRO Issues Statement on Build Back Better Framework

In response to the Build Back Better framework released by the White House on October 28, NAHRO Interim CEO Mike Gerber issued the following statement:

“Housing is vital infrastructure, and NAHRO is thrilled to see $150 billion for public housing, the voucher program, and other initiatives that provide homes to millions of Americans in the Build Back Better Act. Federally-assisted affordable housing programs have been underfunded for decades now, and these resources would provide much-needed safe, stable and affordable homes in cities, towns, rural areas and suburbs across the nation.” 

“Congress must quickly pass this historic reconciliation framework, including this long-overdue investment in federally-funded affordable housing.”
