NBA Champion Bill Walton Joins Us in San Diego

Attention sports fans and Housers alike! We are excited to announce American television sportscaster and former professional basketball player Bill Walton is confirmed to speak at the closing plenary session of our 2022 National Conference & Exhibition: NAHRO Together: Advancing our Communities.  

Bill Walton, is one of sports’ most recognizable and beloved figures. His success on the basketball court is well-documented; the nation’s top college basketball star at UCLA, he then played for two NBA championship teams. But Walton’s challenges off the court are less known. He struggled with stuttering until late into his 20s and suffered with a foot disorder that led to many surgeries, keeping him sidelined over half of his NBA career. But, armed with grit and a positive outlook, Walton improbably overcame it all and has led a life of humility in service of inspiring others.
