What mindset, and what day to day practices, are needed from a Public Housing Authority’s (PHA) supervisory staff, to attract and retain talent, build a culture of learning and healthy relationships, and help staff provide the best service to the community? Seattle Housing Authority’s Race and Social Justice Supervisory Series (launched in 2023) is a deep dive, mandatory training series for all supervisory staff at SHA to build awareness and skills to lead their teams with a focus on employee well-being, employee development, and working actively for race and social justice equity. This session will discuss SHA’s experience with this initiative.
