HUD Announces Technical Assistance for Public Housing Cash Management

April 10, 2026—In March 2026, HUD’s Public Housing Financial Management Division notified agencies that technical assistance (TA) is now available for reporting Cash Management requirements on the SF-425. In 2025, a series of notices—primarily PIH Notice 2025-20—implemented a series of accounting changes amounting to Cash Management. These changes will be reported on the SF-425, with first reports due in April 2027 for the year 2026.
HUD announced that TA is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Email PHFMDFundingBranch@hud.gov to register. TA is optional.
