Year 15 of a Low Income Housing Tax Credit transaction can come with a number of opportunities and potential pitfalls for the project owner. The panel will primarily discuss: (1) the best way to position the project partners at the beginning of the partnership for a smooth transition at Year 15; (2) what actions to take/not to take and what to look out for when Year 15 is approaching; and (3) what to do when a Year 15 dispute arises. While this session will primarily focus on LIHTC transactions, the discussion will also be relevant for other publicly-financed project types.
