Gina Gibson Wins National Emerging Leader Award

Gina Gibson, Director of Asset Management for the Housing Commission of Anne Arundel County in Glen Burnie, Md., was named the 2021 recipient of the Emerging Leaders Award by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). An award presentation was made virtually during NAHRO’s Online National Conference & Exhibition.

For more than a decade, Gibson has been an active member of NAHRO on the state, regional, and national levels. She’s, she’s assisted with local conference planning, statewide training events for NAHRO, supported her region’s Housing America campaign, and worked diligently to send hundreds of August Advocacy letters.  

Gibson also holds several NAHRO certifications and aspires to continue her professional development training. She is committed to making NAHRO a preeminent leader of training and education for the housing industry.  

“We are thrilled to celebrate Gina’s hard work and her dedication to NAHRO,” NAHRO Interim CEO Mike Gerber said. “She is an active, valued member, and we’re eager to support her continued development as a local and national leader in the housing and community development industry.”  

About The Emerging Leaders Award  

The Emerging Leaders Award recognizes an individual who has been involved in NAHRO at the national, regional and/or chapter levels for at least five years and has distinguished him or herself as an emerging leader.
