Catch Up with the NAHRO-LDG Scholars

July 23, 2026 — The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) and LDG Development are thrilled to present our first NAHRO-LDG Scholar Impact Report, which shares the stories of 13 students and how the NAHRO-LDG scholarship changed their lives.

In 2019, award-winning affordable housing developer LDG Development partnered with NAHRO to implement a 10-year, $1 million initiative providing scholarships and internship support to students who live in federally assisted affordable housing. To date, the program has helped 21 NAHRO-LDG Scholars achieve their dreams and find pathways to economic independence.

Scholars were excited to provide an update on how the scholarship supported their educational progress, opening doors in fields such as healthcare, technology, philanthropy, and beyond. Our scholars’ stories shed light on their educational journeys, professional accomplishments, aspirations, and the impact of our collective investment.
