CDBG-DR Allocation Announcement Notice Published

May 20, 2025 — On May 19, HUD published a notice titled “Allocations for Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery and Implementation of the CDBG-DR Consolidated Waivers and Alternative Requirements Notice (PLUS-UP),” which announces over $102 million in CDBG-DR funds for major disasters occurring in January 2023.

This Allocation Announcement Notice (AAN) appropriated by the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2025, identifies grant requirements for these funds. The 2025 Appropriations Act provides that grants shall be awarded directly to a state, local government, or Indian tribe at the discretion of the Secretary.

This notice goes into effect on May 27, 2025.
