This session (Part 1) explores Adverse Childhood Experi¬ences (ACES) and why they matter. Presenters will answer the question: How can ACES affect the residents I work with (and me?). Come learn the current science about how trauma in childhood affects brain development. Once we know that, explore how Trauma-Informed Care can help us recognize and respond so that our programs better serve everyone! This session is for FSS, ROSS, Jobs Plus, and other resident services staff (or anyone who is curious about how trauma affects brain development).

This session is for FSS, ROSS, Jobs Plus, and other resident services staff and leaders who are interested in a soup-to-nuts review of how the details of the ways our program design, policies and practices can ultimately have a significant impact on our outcomes.
