NAHRO Releases 2024 Legislative and Regulatory Policy Priorities

For the first time, NAHRO is releasing its Legislative and Regulatory Agenda in two steps. We are excited to announce that the first step, our 2024 Policy Priorities, is now available. The central themes of this year’s policy priorities are:

  • Adequate and Responsible Funding
  • Holistic and Equitable Approaches to Community Development
  • Build and Preserve Affordable Units through Streamlined Programs
  • Creative, Local Solutions

Every year, NAHRO releases its Legislative and Regulatory Agenda in conjunction with our Washington Conference. However, we also know that many regions, states, and individual agencies use NAHRO’s policy positions to help create their own agendas. As such, we hope that releasing our policy priorities earlier in the year will help our members craft their own messaging in advance of our Washington Conference. This intentional two-step release is a part of our continued efforts to integrate and strengthen our Policy and Legislative Affairs work. NAHRO’s Policy Priorities include tangible asks that our members can incorporate into their own legislative and regulatory work for 2024, and we hope that members find its early release helpful.

Make sure to attend our Washington Conference — April 8-10 in Washington, DC — to receive NAHRO’s full 2024 Legislative and Regulatory Agenda.
