This panel will discuss the evolving options public housing authorities (PHAs) have and are using for preserving and revitalizing diverse public housing portfolios, including lessons learned and likely next steps. The panel will examine the benefits and limitations of HUD’s public housing repositioning initiatives, including recent changes, consideration of revitalization of an entire portfolio and how progress might be affected by Congressional actions or changes in HUD policy.
