Rent Reporting: Unlocking Doors for Residents

Rent reporting—the reporting of tenants’ rental payments to the credit bureaus—is an impactful, evidence-based credit-building strategy that is gaining traction across the country. Recently, California and Colorado passed landmark state-wide rent reporting legislation. During this session, Credit Builders Alliance and its affordable and public housing partners will share about policy and industry developments in the rent reporting space, discuss plans for scaling the reach of rent reporting, and highlight ways that affordable and public housing providers, advocates, and policy makers can get involved in building the rent reporting movement.
